On Sunday, January 1, 2017 a private Titanic themed birthday party was hosted at the Hill House Museum. Guests dressed in period themed costumes. The menu consisted of a 7-course condensed version of a 1st class passenger meal. It was a great event, and unlike on the Titanic all guests left via the front door and not on life boats.
Hill House Mourning Exhibit
For the last few days in October the Hill House Museum invited guests to view the Hill House mourning textiles collection. On the first floor of the Hill House Museum guests were able to a view Victorian funeral scene. The scene had all the mirrors covered, a daguerreotype of a Hill Family member, and a woman dressed in mourning textiles. On the third floor the two bedrooms exhibited all of the mourning textiles and the textile on loan from the Hunter House Museum.
Queen Victoria visits the Hill House
On October 26, 2016 Billy Earnest, portraying as Queen Victoria, greeted guests at the Museum. She showcased her mourning artifacts and spoke about her life during her reign in England.

Mother's Day Tea in the Garden
On May 8, 2016 the Hill House Museum hosted Tea in the Garden. Forty guests enjoyed tea, scones, and many savory treats while in the museum's garden. A toast was given in honor of all the moms attending the tea. Again, many military volunteers helped serve, set-up, and greet guests ....Thanks!!
On Saturday, April 30, 2016 a group of Military volunteers and Hill House members helped work in the gardens. With their help Spring has "sprung" and the gardens look amazing!
Volunteer Appreciation Tea

Holiday Tea in Parlors
On Saturday, December 12, 2015 the Hill House Museum hosted our annual Christmas Tea. The event was sold out, and a great time was had by all who attended the Tea. The museum was decorated for the holiday and it is our wish everyone has a wonderful holiday season, and a Happy New Year.
Merrill Lynch hosts an appreciation event at HHM
On December 3rd Merrill Lynch hosted a private event at the Hill House Museum. The event was in honor of all its customers. VCU History Club visits the Hill House Museum
Eight VCU students from the history club visited the Hill House on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
They had a wonderful visit, and the spirit of the Hill family continues to live on and appreciated by all.
